What is Reiki?
Reiki is a wonderful introduction to energy healing. It works by sending spiritually guided life force energy, sometimes called prana or chi, throughout the energy field. Reiki treatments are sessions where the Reiki energy is transmitted by the laying on of hands.
Reiki energy invokes a feeling of deep relaxation, peace, and well-being. It assists in detoxification of the body and emotions, supporting the body’s natural healing processes. Reiki has been proven to lower blood pressure, speed wound healing, and relieve pain.

What happens during a
Reiki Treatment?
-
Reiki is transmitted primarily through the hands of the practitioner. Most Reiki treatments are conducted with the recipient lying on a massage table, in a quiet room. Many practitioners use soft music, aromatherapy, and soft lighting to create an environment of peace and relaxation. The energy can be transmitted with the hands placed lightly on the body, or hands off.
-
People’s response to Reiki is very personal, and varies depending on their intention for the treatment. Reiki energy will automatically flow to where it is most needed. But there are some results which commonly occur in most people.
-
Reiki is complementary to most other healing techniques. It is not meant to be used as a substitute for conventional medical or psychological treatment, although it may seem to enhance the effects.
